Product description

Sandblasted Vine L

For a natural cage with an extra challenge, this dried and sandblasted vine is a nice addition. The rodents can walk and climb over it. This beautiful branch is also suitable as a stepping stone to a plateau, for example. Rodent climbers in particular, such as mice, Chinese dwarf hamsters, gerbils, degus and rats, will enjoy this natural branch.

Ideal for Hamsterscaping & Gerbilscaping !

The vine can be used in a scape to shape and heighten the landscape in the enclosure. The vines can also help wear down the teeth. If the animals need to gnaw, they can gnaw on the thick vine to wear down their teeth and they will not gnaw on other parts of the enclosure.

The vine therefore fulfills several functions:

The vine provides fun for rodents that can climb over it
The vine provides gnawing pleasure when the animals need to gnaw
The vine has a decorative function and adds height to the decor

The winding shapes of vines not only provide gnawing pleasure, but can also serve as a visual stimulus for curious rodents. They can use the vines to explore and play.

Is the Vine Suitable for Hamsterscaping!

Yes absolutely! We believe that the vine should not be missing from Hamsterscaping! Within hamster scapes it is important to design the enclosure naturally, but on the other hand, hiding and hiding options must also be created for the animals. The branches not only have a beautiful natural appearance, but they also provide additional shelter and hiding places for small rodents.

For climbers, the vines can be placed a little more challenging, for example for Mice, Chinese Dwarf Hamsters and Rats, the branches can be placed a little more upright and leaned against the bars. This way, the animals can climb over the branch to a higher part of the enclosure. The larger vines can be nicely placed together, creating a beautiful tangle of branches that animals can walk through and over. However, it is always very important to place the branches in such a way that they cannot shift or fall over.

Is the vine suitable as a gnawing material?

The vine is certainly suitable as a gnawing material for rodents and rabbits. If the animals need to gnaw and there is nothing else to gnaw on, then the wood of the vine is very suitable.

  1. Taste: Vines often have a subtle woody flavor that rodents and rabbits can appreciate. The natural flavor may pique their interest and encourage them to nibble on the gnawing wood.

  2. Durability: Vines can be quite durable and provide long-lasting gnawing pleasure. They are sturdy enough to meet the gnawing needs of the most aggressive rodents.

  3. Variation in Thickness: Vines vary in thickness, making them suitable for different types of rodents and rabbits. Thicker parts offer more resistance for animals that like a firm gnawing experience.

  4. Natural Origin: Vines come from grape plants and are therefore natural and untreated.

  5. Dental Care: Gnawing vines can contribute to the natural wear and tear of rodents' and rabbits' teeth. This helps prevent dental problems and promotes good oral health.

Some rodents gnaw wood very actively and others not at all. On the one hand it is a matter of taste, but on the other hand it is a matter of need. If a rodent has no need to gnaw because its teeth are kept in good length through food, hay or other nibbles, it will gnaw less on wood. It is good to always offer natural gnawing material so that the animals can always gnaw when they need to gnaw.

Gnawing wood is used by rodents to wear down their teeth. Because rodents' teeth are always growing, they need to be gnawed regularly so that they do not grow too long and crooked.

Has the vine been cleaned?

The vines come from the grape tree, they are dried and sandblasted. The sandblasting ensures that the jagged bark is smoothed out more and that the branch is clean. The tag of the vine is attached to the branch with staples, these staples are best removed or hammered into the wood with a hammer.
