Flax Bedding for Rodents & Rabbits!

Flax bedding is made from the fibers of the linseed plant. It is very fine, soft and dust-free bedding that absorbs well. Flax can absorb up to 12x its own weight in moisture, which ensures dry feet! In addition, flax is biodegradable, which means that it can be used in organic waste, but flax also makes good compost.

Vlas is less suitable for Hamsterscaping because tunnels do not remain, but it can be very nice as a bottom or mix layer. Flax is very suitable for larger rodents & rabbits thanks to its good absorption and soft structure.

For small rodents (Mouse, Dwarf Hamster, Hamster, Gerbil)
Apply a thick layer of at least 20 cm in the enclosure and let the animals do the rest. They will dig to their heart's content and make the most beautiful corridors!

For larger rodents (Rat, Guinea Pig, Rabbit, Chinchilla, Degu)
Spread a layer of about 10 cm thick in the enclosure and tamp it lightly until a layer of at least 5 cm remains. Depending on the rodent, change it as soon as it starts to smell. Weekly remove only the dirty spot from the cage and leave the rest. Then refill the cage as needed.
