These soft hemp mats from Hugro are ideal for rodents and rabbits! These natural mats are made from compressed hemp fibers. Completely natural! The mats are very hygienic and dust-free and they protect smaller pets against cold and drafts. Small rodents such as mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, gerbils and rats like to pick at the hemp mat and cover their nest with the fibers. For larger rodents such as guinea pigs and rabbits, the hemp mats are ideal to use as pee pads, they are also soft for the legs and protect the floor thanks to the good absorption.
✔ Absorbs puddles & odors
✔ 100% Natural and fully compostable
✔ Cleans the teeth when the animals nibble on it
✔ Activity toys
✔ Nest material
The Hugro Hemp Matting consists of untreated hemp fibres. This makes the product hygienic and extremely suitable for building a nest or as a floor covering for animal housing. Rodents can pick their own nesting material from the mat and build their own nest: an activity that makes them very happy. The Hemp Mat also offers many advantages for the owners: it absorbs odors and moisture, is 100% compostable, keeps the accommodation and animal teeth clean and is free of vermin.
As bedding for larger rodents (Rat, Guinea Pig, Rabbit, Chinchilla)
The Hemp Mat is ideal to use as a ground cover for larger rodents. Preferably if the animals are potty trained and do their business in the toilet as much as possible. For animals that are not house trained at all and who urinate a lot in one place, the Hemp Mat can also be used in combination with the toilet training mat .
For toilet training of larger rodents (Rat, Guinea Pig, Rabbit, Chinchilla)
The Hemp Mat can be easily cut to size and placed on the bottom. This also allows the animals to be potty trained. Place a toilet in the corner and throw all the droppings in the toilet, after a while the animals will go to the toilet themselves to do their needs there instead of on the mat. The mat lasts quite a long time and retains urine and odors well. As soon as the mat is saturated and starts to smell, it must be replaced with a new one.
As bedding for small rodents (Mouse, Dwarf Hamster, Hamster, Gerbil)
As bedding, this blanket is not suitable for small rodents, they need a thick layer of digging bedding.
As a sniffing mat for rodents and rabbits
The hemp mat is also very nice to use as a sniffing mat. To do this, take some small candies that you push into the mat and let the animals search. This stimulates the natural behavior of the animals, namely foraging (searching for food).
As nesting material for small rodents (Mouse, Dwarf Hamster, Hamster, Gerbil)
The hemp mat is also very suitable as nesting material. Hamsters in particular can get to work with this very nicely. Cut a piece of the hemp mat and place it in the enclosure. The hamsters will quickly take it to their nest and completely fluff it up until a nest is created. Very nice to see and also extra activity for the animals!
Against parasites
The hemp mat as a natural repellent of parasites: Animals kept on a hemp mat are better protected against parasites. The natural substances of the hemp expel parasites.
Use for birds
For birds, the hemp mat can be used ideally as a ground cover, but birds will also like to grab tufts of hemp as nesting material.

Geweldig.
