Mixed light lamp ProSun Mixed D3

A heat lamp is mainly known for reptiles, but some rodents such as Gerbils and Degus can also benefit greatly from a lamp. Degus actually need a daily sunbath to keep their Vitamin D3 at a good level. Vitamin D3 is produced in the body thanks to sunlight (UVB). A deficiency of Vitamin D3 can cause various deficiency diseases, such as dental and bone problems.

The lamp is intended for sunbathing daytime animals such as Gerbils and Degus. The safety of the animals is the most important thing when using a lamp. The lamp should be mounted in such a way that animals cannot reach it to gnaw on it, for example. The cable must also be completely concealed or protected so that animals cannot gnaw on it.

Guinea pigs and rabbits also benefit from a daily dose of UV and heat. This can also be achieved by letting the animals outside in a run in the summer.

Because this lamp also emits heat, the lamp should not be used in a terrarium, because the temperature may then rise too high.

Define the natural habitat and time of activity of your animals. For example, do not turn on the lamp at times when the animals are naturally sleeping.

The lamp is also suitable for indoor rabbits to maintain Vitamin D levels.
