WHICH SIZE RUNNING RID IS SUITABLE FOR MY RODENT

The dimensions that we maintain are the minimum pleasant dimensions for an adult animal. Younger animals can often run in a smaller size, but will grow out of it quickly. The biggest problem with "too small" running wheels is that the back is kept in a crooked condition, which is harmful to the animals and can cause health problems in the long term.

WHICH RUNNING RID IS SUITABLE FOR MY RODENT?

In principle, no distinction needs to be made. As long as the dimensions are adhered to, the type of running wheel is not such an issue. However, we do this because we believe that not all materials are suitable for all rodents. For example, we are dealing with what we call "real rodents". The "however rodents" are: Gerbils, Chinchillas and Degus. These animals gnaw a wooden running wheel, with a bit of luck, completely destroyed within two weeks. The size of the running wheel is suitable, but the material is less suitable.

Wood is quickly gnawed by these animals, but what about plastic? Plastic is a special case. Most animals do not like to gnaw plastic, if they do, they can bite a plastic running wheel. Because not all "real rodents" gnaw on plastic, the owner has to decide for himself whether a plastic running wheel is a good idea or not. We advise against this as a precaution.
