Advantages of the plastic running wheel compared to a wooden running wheel

There are two decisive advantages over natural materials such as wood. Firstly, the plastic running wheel will wobble less because it is not made of "working" material (wood). This means that the running wheel will not warp due to, for example, fluctuating temperature in the room. And on the other hand, it is much easier to clean than a wooden exercise wheel.

Can this running wheel be washed with water?

Please note that our ball bearing is only splash proof and should not be submerged in water. However, you can treat the front with water as you like and the cork insert can also take a beating.

How should the cork be cleaned?

The cork insert can be easily removed and cleaned with a toothbrush and warm water, let it dry for a while and then put it back in the wheel.

Is the running wheel adjustable in height?

Yes, the Getzoo plastic exercise wheel is adjustable in height, just like all other Getzoo exercise wheels for rodents. In this way, the height can be adjusted as desired, so that, for example, more bedding fits underneath or, in the case of group animals, to prevent an animal from getting stuck underneath.

Are separate inserts available for this exercise wheel?

Like our wooden running wheels with cork treads, the plastic versions have corresponding inserts. These are glued to a food-safe and unbreakable plastic strip, so that changing them is correspondingly easier.
